You know that situation: you have a large file and you wonder how you are going to transport it to that other computer at your home or your friend's house. It just won't fit on the diskette or it is too large to send in an e-mail message, right? Well, don't panic. Splitter Jack comes to your rescue!
It's as easy as...
Locate the file in the Windows File Explorer, right-click on it and choose "Split file with Splitter Jack" command. Then choose the maximum desired split files' size or maximum number of split files. In each step the program will inform you what to do until you successfully split the large file so that you can copy its parts to diskettes or send them through e-mail.
How do I transport the file?
Simply copy all split files to diskettes or send them each as an attachment in separate e-mail messages. On the recipient's computer copy all files from the diskettes or from the e-mail messages into a folder of your choice and use Splitter Jack again to restore the original file from them. You can simply double-click on the first file in the split files set and Splitter Jack will start automatically. Obviously, for this to work, Splitter Jack must be installed on the recipients' computer so please instruct them to download a free evaluation copy of Splitter Jack from this web page.
Must Splitter Jack be installed on the recipient's computer?
This version of Splitter Jack works differently from the previous version and for some features to work a working copy of Splitter Jack is necessary on the recipient's computer. You can either send the Splitter Jack installation file to the recipient or instruct him to download a free evaluation copy of Splitter Jack from this web page.
This version of Splitter Jack (formerly known as Split It!) was completely re-written. New features now include the following:
:) New, easy to use interface with step-by-step assistance

:) Integration with the Windows File Explorer. Splitter Jack can be added to the file explorer's context menu so you don't have to start Splitter Jack before you want to split or restore a file. Simply select the file in the file explorer and choose an appropriate action with a right-click, or double-click the *.s01 file created with Splitter Jack and let the program execute automatically.

:) File compression to minimize the number of split files and total file size. Smaller total file size saves you time and hassle in transporting your file to the other computer. Compression ratios achieved by Splitter Jack are comparable with the leading compression formats like ZIP, ARJ, etc.

:) CRC 32-bit file integrity checking. Now you can be sure that the restored file is an exact copy of the original file. Splitter Jack stores the original file's CRC checksum value in the split files set and checks it against the restored file's checksum to make sure that the file has been transferred successfully. Original file's name and date are also preserved.

:) Ability to split large files. Splitter Jack can split files larger than 2 GB in size. If you have files this large and need to store them on CD-ROMs, Splitter Jack can help!
In spite of the fact that the evaluation version of Splitter Jack will never expire and so technically you could use it until the end times come, we appeal to you to register. Lifetime registration fee is only $9.95 for which you will get all future upgrades free of charge. So, if you find Splitter Jack useful, please consider supporting its future development and REGISTER NOW.
